Valencia Image “The Name Behind The Brand” is an objective of mine, which means being the name behind everything involved in entertainment and media.
During my HS and collegiate years I had a dream of becoming a film director, but that dream changed as I also worked in a financial institutions and met with a lot of entrepreneurs. I loved the idea of owning my own business and becoming my own boss, so I started to develop my own small businesses. Needless to say they all failed but those failures became experience and life lessons that I use today. A lot people would consider my business ventures failures but in life there are no failures, there only lessons you learn on your path.
It wasn’t until I received my first digital SLR camera from my wife Elana Valencia (who I owe a great deal to) where I started to see a different path. I decided to go out on my own and use my camera as my stepping stone back into the entertainment business. With my degree in Media Communication I earned at St. John’s University and my past experience with my business venture; I embarked on a journey to redefine my career path.
I started to work with a talented Hip-Hop artist by the name of “SoSoon”. From there I was introduced to the underground scene and started networking with talented individuals. I also started to setup individual photo shoots to start displaying my work with the help of my friends Jenifer Barlone and Christopher Villa. Thanks to them my work was getting noticed and their contributions were also getting noticed as well. Christopher Villa is now an upcoming models who has work with a lot of talented photographers and has been featured on different magazines. It is wonderful to see his success blossom and grow. Jenifer and I formed an online magazine company called BIO Magazine alongside Victoria Holt (VRPhoto). The online magazine features up and coming artist from different genres in music and entertainment.
As my journey continues, I have developed other skills along my path. I started to design websites and do media consultation. Currently I developed my own personal column that gives me a chance to write articles or interview someone intriguing, which also would display my passion for photography. My column would be more directed towards fashion, entertainment and lifestyle.
As I continue my path, I look forward to learning and achieving great things. I am grateful for my family and friends that have been there for me and I looked forward to meeting new people and networking with them. Thanks to all the people that I have worked with so far and thank you all that who have taken the time to visit my site and get to know me.
